Your student conferences are tomorrow, Tuesday December 2nd.

A reminder that only SEATTLE Level V classes are cancelled tomorrow!

Please note that there are simultaneous conference sessions occurring and make sure you are using the correct link!

Reminder: Bellevue Level VI Wellness Seminar

Hello FRC Level VI families,

This is a reminder that there is Mental Wellness Seminar for FRC Level VI with our consulting therapist Josh Spell scheduled for this Saturday November 22nd from 10:00-11:00am in the Peter Boal Studio. These seminars are mandatory, and are part of PNB’s commitment to promoting healthy emotional development for our students! Roll will be taken at each meeting for attendance. If you are unable to attend for any reason please contact us through the school inbox at pnbschool@pnb.org.

Students who serve as class assistants will be excused from assisting to attend their seminars when the times conflict.

This will be the final Wellness & Mentorship meeting for Level VI (both locations) for 2025. We are planning to make some adjustments to the schedule for next semester, keep an eye out for a portal post with an updated schedule in the coming weeks!

NEW Mental Wellness one-on-ones available tomorrow!

Hello Upper Division Families,

We are very pleased to announce a new offering for our Wellness program: one-on-one counseling with PNB’s consulting therapist Josh Spell available at no cost! As a part of PNBs ongoing commitment to helping develop healthy dancers, we are so excited for our students to have this opportunity to help address challenges in their lives, dance related or not.

How it works: Josh will have a few dates where he is available throughout the year for in-person meetings in the school library. The first of these dates is tomorrow Wednesday, November 19th from 4:00-6:00pm. He will have four 30 minutes slots available during this time, available first come first served to all of our Upper Division and Professional Division students.

If you are not able to attend the in-person sessions tomorrow or all of the slots are taken, you are invited to contact Josh to set up a virtual 30 minute appointment. Josh will be providing virtual office hours each month to PNB students at no cost!

Please note: Josh will not be diagnosing or providing psychotherapy to treat long term disorders. Up to three one on one sessions are covered by PNB for each student, if more therapy is required, referrals for other clinicians can be provided by Josh.

Students may be excused from class in order to meet with Josh if needed.

We will have more of these sessions available through the year!

Reminder! PNB Student Buttons

Hello Upper Division Students,

This is a friendly reminder that you need to have your PNB button either on your bag or on you in some capacity to enter the building every day, including Saturdays. These buttons are just as important as your backstage passes over at the theater in keeping you and your peers safe while you are here on campus. It must be visible to the guard or outdoor camera in some capacity. We understand it can be hard to keep them on your bag so we encourage you to find another place to keep them. Either in your wallet or in a pocket in your bag to pull out and show the guard or camera every time you come to enter the building. You can always sew it to your bag as well. If you misplace your button, please see the school office for a replacement.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Reminder! PNB Access Badges / Student Buttons

Hello PNB Families!

We want to thank everyone for complying to our new security measures this year! We have had such a positive response from families and appreciate everyone for following these new procedures to keep our students and parents safe while on campus.

We just wanted to send a friendly reminder that these protocols are extremely important, especially as we head into the winter season. Please remember to continue the following;

Have Your Parent/Guardian Badge Ready When Entering the Building!

This can be saved on your phone in your photo app or printed out – as some of you have already done! If you are a new parent or haven’t received the badge, please email us at pnbschool@pnb.org and we can send you the link.

Keep Your Orange Student Button on Your Bag!

Having trouble keeping it on your bag? No worries! Just have it on you in some capacity, whether that means in a pocket, wallet, or pouch, we just need you to have it on you to show the guard/camera at the door. If you misplace your button, please let the school office for a replacement.

Sign In at the Front Desk and Get a Parent Sticker!

If you are planning on staying for the duration of your student’s class or have to go past the stanchions for any reason, please make sure you’re signing in and getting a Parent/Guardian sticker up at the front desk. Please note; parents are still only allowed to wait in the front lobby or school office, parents are not permitted to wait or work in the student lounge or back hallways, these areas are for STUDENTS ONLY. Parents can access the bathrooms and changing rooms, but will be asked to move if they are lingering in the hallways outside studios, or in the student lounge.

REMINDER: PNBS Closed November 27-29

Hello PNB Families, 

Both the Phelps Center and the Francia Russell Center will be closed Thursday, November 27th through Saturday, November 29th due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Classes will resume on Monday, December 1st.

If your student will be missing class at all next week, please notify the school office.

PC & FRC Level V Fall Conference Sign-Up!

Afternoon Seattle & Bellevue Level V Families,

We are delighted to have you back this fall! Individual student/parent conferencing for our Level V students are coming up in December.

This year we are introducing a new conference format! Conferences will replace Level V classes on your students respective conference date, and will take place over Zoom in 15 minute time blocks.

Seattle Level V conferences will take place on Tuesday December 2nd from 4:00pm-5:45pm and 4:00pm-6:00pm.

Bellevue Level V conferences will take place on Monday December 8th from 4:00pm-6:00pm.

As always, the student conferences will include discussions about your progress and mastering technique and artistry. Prior to conferences, your teachers work collectively to communicate their individual observations and corrections for each student. Conferences provide a platform to discuss not only what you are working on in class in the way of technique, but also your plans for the future and how we can help guide you successfully into the next chapter in your life. Parents and students please come prepared with questions and let us know how we can help make this a successful year for you.
