REMINDER! September 1st is Around the Corner!

Good afternoon PNB School Families!

We are so excited to welcome everyone back into our studios for the 2026-2027 school year, coming up very soon! We are reaching out today to remind you about the upcoming charge on September 1st: this applies to those on the monthly, biannual, and payment in full payment plans. This charge is automatic to the card on file, if you would like to change your card on file you must give us a call by Monday, August 31st at 5:00pm and we will take care of that for you! We are also happy to adjust any payment plans or provide payment receipts for you. Any Duet, Tots, and Creative Movement students on the quarterly payment plan will be charged on September 10th at the start of the first quarter.

As a reminder, we have upcoming back to school nights in the days leading up to the start of classes! You can join us at the Seattle school on Tuesday, September 8th or the Bellevue school on Wednesday, September 9th from 5:00-7:00pm. Fall classes begin on Thursday, September 10th!

You are always welcome to reach out to the school via phone or email with any questions about the upcoming school year. We look forward to seeing you and your dancers next month!

PNBS Annual Leotard Exchange 2026!!

Hello PNB families and happy summer!

We’re excited to announce the annual Leotard Exchange is happening during the PNB’s Back to School Nights on Tuesday, September 8th in Seattle and on Wednesday, September 9th in Bellevue!

This is a wonderful opportunity to donate gently used PNBS leotards your dancer has outgrown and get a PNBS leotard for the season ahead. Even if you don’t have one to donate, you are still welcome to pick up a new-to-you leotard. We will have a variety of already-donated leotard levels and sizes on hand (*note: we can’t guarantee that everyone will receive a leotard due to the limited sizes and levels that are donated). Availability will be first-come, first-served. You drop off your donated leotard at either school location starting now or you can bring it with you to the Leotard Exchange!

If your student wears our male identifying uniform, we are also taking those as well! (White snug fitting t-shirt & black tights/leggings.)

Donating Leotards? We kindly ask that all donated leotards be laundered (no fabric softener) before drop-off.

Thank you for helping us build a supportive and sustainable dance community. We look forward to seeing you at our Back to School Nights!

Action Required! Level IV Beginning Pointe Information

We are pleased to welcome pointe shoe fitters from Freed of London’s New York office to the Francia Russell Center and the Phelps Center to fit pointe shoes for all Level IV students. The school is thrilled to take advantage of this very rare opportunity to be fit with expert guidance.

Level IV Pointe Shoe Fittings Dates: Tuesday September 29th – Friday October 2nd 2026

We will send out additional information, including which campus will be going on which days, along with a sign-up form to reserve fitting time will be sent to students in early September.

Please click the link below to fill out the Shoe Information form by August 31st. Freed will need this information to gather shoe sizes so that they can accommodate everyone.

Level IV Shoe Information Form 2026-26 (please complete by August 31st)

Most students will be fit in the Freed “Studio” shoe. Payment may be made with cash, check, VISA or Mastercard at the time of your fitting. Freed is pleased to offer free nylon ribbon and elastic with your purchase.

NOTE: All shoes must meet PNB School faculty approval before sewing!

Level IV Sewing Seminars

The first pointe class after Freed fittings will be an official sewing day for students. Click here for a list of required materials for sewing day: Pointe Shoe Sewing Supplies

Do not sew your shoes until the scheduled sewing day! Faculty must approve your shoes before sewing, and pointe shoes are to be worn only in class!

2026 Nutcracker Audition Notice

Dear PNB Families, 

With the start of the school year just around the corner, we wanted to share with you one of the most anticipated days for our students. The Nutcracker Audition will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2026. Students enrolled in Levels II-VI are eligible to audition for The Nutcracker.

More information will be released closer to the beginning of the school year, but please consider the following when planning:

·            Students are expected to be available for the entire rehearsal and performance period. A mandatory Nutcracker orientation will be held on Saturday, September 26. Rehearsals will begin the week of September 28 and continue through the opening performance on November 27. Performances will take place November 27-December 27. Please do not have your student audition if you anticipate any conflicts during the timeframe of September 26-December 27.

·            We cannot excuse students from rehearsals or performances for vacations, family events, school events, etc.; the only acceptable reasons for missing rehearsal are illness, injury, and family emergencies.

·            All rehearsals and performances will be at the Phelps Center and McCaw Hall. 

·            Students must be no taller than 5’2” at the audition time.
