Dear VII PNBS students and families,
ALL Level VII PNBS students are called to support the upcoming PNB Community Education DISCOVER DANCE performance on
Tuesday, March 24th, 2026
5:30-8:30pm @ McCaw Hall
PNB School students are an important part of making this fun, energetic, PNB community event run smoothly! You will be supporting 2nd-4th grade classrooms as they take the stage and move around McCaw Hall. Your PNBS classes will be canceled this evening, as you are required to support DISCOVER DANCE. Volunteer service hours are available.
Important details:
- Check-in at 5:30pm on March 24 at the DISCOVER DANCE information table just inside the main north lobby doors at McCaw Hall.
- If you have a DISCOVER DANCE shirt already (most VIIs should have one from last fall), please wear it. If you do not already have a DISCOVER DANCE shirt, you will get one when you arrive.
- Wear comfortable shoes – there will be a lot of walking and stairs!
- On Tuesday, March 17th at 5:15pm (subject to change) there will be informational meetings at the Phelps Center (before regular PNBS classes) to go over what to expect on DISCOVER DANCE day:
- Families are invited to attend the DISCOVER DANCE performance on 3/24, which begins at 6:30pm. Tickets are free and available through the PNB Box Office.
Please email Shannon Barnes, PNB Director of Community Education, at sbarnes@pnb.org with any questions or concerns.
About the event:
The performance features over 300 public school students performing choreography they created during in-school residencies. It will also feature DanceChance students sharing an on-stage demonstration of their classwork, excerpts from Momotaro, and REACH Student Dance Group.
