Hi New Voices II families,

On behalf of PNB School’s Dance for All program, a big ‘thank you’ to your students for joining us at Friendship Circle of Washington’s Community Kindness Day! We are thrilled to contribute to a warm, creative and fun event and promote kindness and inclusion.

As this is Dance for All’s first time participating in this event, we will all be new in this together 😊 Eva Stone and I will be on site, along with some of the Dance for All team.

Please see below for some event details:

When it takes place & where to go

Sunday, October 18, 2026
Mercerdale Park, Mercer Island
Event hours: 1:00–4:00 PM

New Voices arrival time: 12:30 PM

New Voices set up: 12:30-12:45

New Voices active participation: 1:00-2:00 PM

New Voices departure time: 2:00 PM

Parking

Please use available public street parking near Mercerdale Park, follow all posted signs and restrictions, and allow extra time to park.

Once parked, head to the Dance for All table (we do not yet know where exactly that will be 😊 but the visitor booth will be able to direct you).

What New Voices will be doing

  • New Voices dancers will share “pop-up” dances in a small performance area, which we hope will be near our Dance for All table. We will not be using the 4 x 4 risers from McCaw Hall; instead, dancers may perform on a small stage or on the grass.
  • When not dancing, we would love New Voices dancers to be interacting with visiting community members and sharing their knowledge about and love for dance. Dance for All will have a table with various activities and a dance game.

What to wear/bring

  • The attire for the “pop-up” dances
  • Overclothes
  • A water bottle
  • Positive & fun energy

Who can come

  • Anyone! Please feel free to share with your circles!

Weather & packing up

This is an outdoor event, so fingers crossed for a beautiful fall day… We’ll communicate any weather-related event changes via e-mail.

Thank you for your support. Please reach out to Eva Stone or me with any questions.

Kind regards,
