BELLEVUE IV B Conference Sign-Up

Individual student/parent conferencing for Bellevue Level IV B will start in March. These 20-minute conferences will remain on Zoom to allow for better scheduling with parents and students. Please sign up for a conference by Sunday, March 3rd.

As always, the level IV conferences will include discussions about your progress and mastering technique and artistry. Prior to conferences, your teachers work collectively to communicate their individual observations and corrections for each student. Conferences provide a platform to discuss not only what you are working on in class in the way of technique, but also your plans for the future and how we can help guide you successfully into the next chapter in your life. We want to be able to support you. Parents and students please come prepared with questions and let us know how we can help make this a successful year for you.

REMINDER- 2024 School Performance Information & Participation Agreement Action Required

Dear PNB School Students and Families,

Pacific Northwest Ballet School’s 43rd Annual School Performance at McCaw Hall is right around the corner. The event is a special one for students, family and friends. If your calendar isn’t already marked, circle June 15th. Tickets will go on sale in mid-March; stay tuned for more information. As we begin to prepare for these performances, there are a few things we would like to share with you.

Saturday, June 15, students in Levels I-IV, and DanceChance perform at 12:30pm. The second performance for students in Level V-VIII and Advanced C is at 6:00pm.

James Kirby Rogers, PNB Principal dancer will be creating a new work for our Professional Division that will be performed at both shows along with George Balanchine’s Square Dance. We will be joined by the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Juan Felipe Molano. PNB will premiere a new production with beautiful new sets and costumes next year and we will have a sneak preview with PNB students performing the famous garland dance from The Sleeping Beauty.

All students in Levels I and up will begin rehearsals shortly. Each level will devote a portion of class time to preparation. For this reason, consistent attendance at all classes is essential. We want every student to feel well-prepared and confident as they take the stage at McCaw Hall for their class dance on June 15th. Please click on the link to review, sign, and return the School Performance Participation Agreement no later than February 28, 2024.

We sincerely appreciate your efforts to ensure students attend all classes and rehearsals during the coming months. If a student is unable to commit to their schedule we may not be able to include them in this milestone performance.

Consider joining us for our annual Student Celebration Dinner at McCaw Hall after the matinee School Performance, where graduating students are honored in celebratory fashion; it is a fantastic way to commemorate the day. Look for more details to come.

SEATTLE Level V Conference Reminder

The fall conferences for Seattle Level V are coming up next week! This notice will serve as your reminder and provide the zoom links for your conferences. Please pay close attention to which zoom link you should be using as we have multiple sets of conferences going on at the same time. Your zoom links can be found on the sign-up sheet HERE.

If you or your student is available earlier in the day due to flexibility with school, please take an earlier time! Some students have later school commitments and cannot attend an earlier conference. If there is an issue with the conference times, please reach out to pnbschool@pnb.org ASAP.
