Level IV Beginning Pointe Information & Save the Date!

We are pleased to welcome pointe shoe fitters from Freed of London’s New York office to the Francia Russell Center and the Phelps Center to fit pointe shoes for all Level IV students. The school is thrilled to take advantage of this very rare opportunity to be fit with expert guidance.

Level IV Pointe Shoe Fittings Date

  • Monday, September 15                Phelps Center Level IV      
  • Wednesday, September 17         Francia Russell Center Level IV A
  • Thursday, September 18              Francia Russell Center Level IV B

Additional information along with a sign-up form to reserve fitting time will be sent to students in late-August. Fitting times for the above dates are currently TBD.

Please click the link below to fill out the Shoe Information form by August 22nd. Freed will need this information to gather shoe sizes so that they may accommodate everyone.

Most students will be fit in the Freed “Studio” shoe. Payment may be made with cash, check, VISA or Mastercard at the time of your fitting. Freed is pleased to offer free nylon ribbon and elastic with your purchase. Click here for a current Price List

NOTE: All shoes must meet PNB School faculty approval before sewing!

Level IV Sewing Seminars

The first pointe class after Freed fittings will be an official sewing day for students. Click here for a list of required materials for sewing day: Pointe Shoe Sewing Supplies

Do not sew your shoes until the scheduled sewing day! faculty must approve your shoes before sewing, and pointe shoes are to be worn only in class!

Headshot Submission!!

Hello Level VII, VIII & Adv C students and families,

We hope you have had an awesome summer break! As we prepare for the 25-26 season, we are reaching out to request that you submit a headshot to us. This will not be used for any promotional purposes. It will only be used internally here at the school so we all can become more familiar with students! Please send this to us by Saturday August 30th!

Hello Level II students and families!

Jazz offers numerous benefits for young dancers, including improved coordination, rhythm, flexibility, strength, and stamina. Additionally, jazz fosters creativity, self-expression, and confidence! Jazz is an excellent way to enhance one’s ability to move freely, learn choreography swiftly, and adapt to various movement styles. Moreover, studying jazz can significantly improve students’ ballet capability, all while having fun in the process.

Because we have had several inquiries about partial attendance for Pre – Fall Training Week, we have made an update to the class schedule as well as registration! You are now able to sign up for the full week or partial attendance with the option to pay per day. 2025 Nutcracker Audition Information/Notice

Dear PNB Families,

With the start of the school year just around the corner, we wanted to share with you one of the most anticipated days for our students. The Nutcracker Audition will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025. Students enrolled in Levels II-VI are eligible to audition for The Nutcracker.

More information will be released closer to the beginning of the school year, but please consider the following when planning:

  • Students are expected to be available for the entire rehearsal and performance period. Rehearsals will begin the week of October 6 and continue through the opening performance on November 28. Performances will take place November 28-December 28. Please do not have your students audition if you anticipate any conflicts during that time.
  • We cannot excuse students from rehearsals or performances for vacations, family events, school events, etc.; the only acceptable reasons for missing rehearsal are illness, injury, and family emergencies.
  • All rehearsals and performances will be at the Phelps Center and McCaw Hall.
  • Students must be no taller than 5’2” at the audition time.

REMINDER!! PNBS Leotard Donations 2025

REMINDER!!

Hello PNB families!

In preparation for the 2025-2026 school year, the PGA is collecting leotards that will be available for the leotard swap in September. In order for the September leotard exchange to be successful, we need to start with some inventory of varying sizes and levels. So, if you are willing to simply donate your leotard, we would love to have it. You can stop by either school location and drop off Mon-Fri 9:00-5:00pm. We ask that you please launder (no fabric softener) your items before they are dropped off.

For those who are looking to exchange leotards, this will happen closer to the start of the school year. Keep a look out for additional information!

With my second child turning two next week, these images have taken on a deeper meaning for me—as I find myself reflecting on how quickly time moves and how precious these fleeting moments really are.
