Summer Course Fair Zoom Link

Dear families,

The Summer Course Information Fair is Monday, December 5th at 4:30. During the presentation, we’ll give an overview of the most commonly attended programs and we’ll also cover general audition advice and factors to consider in choosing the best summer course. We’ll allow time at the end for a Q&A to answer any questions students might have. Seattle students can attend in the Phelps Center Board Room. Bellevue students, along with any parents, can tune in via Zoom.

We have also created a document containing surveys completed by the upper-division students evaluating the summer course programs they have attended in the past several years. Please email pnbschool@pnb.org if you would like access to this document. The document contains 88 surveys, so it is fairly long. A student’s experience at any given summer program can be very individual; a program that is a great fit for one student might be a poor fit for another depending on the student’s goals and interests. By reading several personalized reviews of the programs that most interest you, we hope that you’ll be able to make a better-informed choice of the program that you’d like to attend.

Please bring your questions and we’ll do our best to answer them!

Warmly,

Level VIII Students

Seattle Conference Sign Up!

Individual student/parent conferencing for Seattle Level VI will start in December. These 20-minute conferences will remain on Zoom to accommodate working parents and allow for better scheduling. Bellevue level VI conference will start after winter break!

As always, the level VI conferences will include discussions about your progress and mastering technique and artistry. Prior to conferences, your teachers work collectively to communicate their individual observations and corrections for each student. Conferences provide a platform to discuss not only what you are working on in class in the way of technique, but also your plans for the future and how we can help guide you successfully into the next chapter in your life. We want to be able to support you. Parents and students please come prepared with questions and let us know how we can help make this a successful year for you.

Level VI can be an intense year, with high expectations in and out of the studio. Consistent attendance is a top priority at this level. We want to hear what issues you are coming up against (if any) and we will try, as always, to work with you to maintain this consistency.

We look forward to meeting with you as we set goals for the year ahead.

Seattle level VI: Click here to sign up for a conference time by Saturday, December 3rd.
