Dear New Voices Families (Level VII),
A very happy new year to you all! We are starting things off with an exciting opportunity to see some wonderful work created by the New Voices students!
Now in its fifth year, New Voices: Choreography and Process for Young Women in Dance has been an integral part to the training process for students at PNB School. The course is designed to encourage and educate the next generation of female choreographers. We do this by introducing the basic concepts of composition and choreographic structures and exploring dance under the guise that movement is a language. Since September, we have been working intensely by examining the three elements of dance: time, space, and energy.
Though we only meet once a week, we have quickly worked and are excited to present an informal showing of work based on the course concepts. The students are very excited to present both solo and duet work that they have been creating for this special event. The progress I have seen so far is outstanding!
Please join us for this special showing of original work! There will be a brief Q & A after the performance. The event will run about 90 mins. Admission is free. Two guests are allowed per student. Guests should wait outside the front door to be led in by a school staff member. We ask all guests to remain masked for the entirety of their visit to our studios.
